Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

Yes, we accept insurance for therapy sessions. Currently, we work with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Choice PPO, Aetna PPO, and Medicare. If you’re unsure whether your plan covers services at our office location or through telehealth, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to verify your insurance benefits.

How much does therapy cost without insurance?

For self-pay clients, we follow the No Surprises Act, which means we are committed to transparent pricing with no hidden fees, so you’ll always know what to expect. Whether you choose in-person sessions at our Chicagoland Western suburbs location or telehealth therapy, we’ll provide a clear Good Faith Estimate before treatment begins.

What can I expect in my first therapy session?

Before beginning therapy, we offer a free 15 minute intake call to gather the necessary initial information and ensure fit. During the first couple of sessions, your therapist will focus on getting to know you and understanding your needs at this time. For children, the process may include 2-3 individual sessions with the child, followed by a parent feedback session. If needed, we can gladly provide you with other referrals to additional practitioners near you.

Do you offer telehealth or online therapy?

Yes, we provide both in-person therapy at our Westmont, Illinois office (700 E. Ogden Ave., Suite 304) and secure telehealth sessions for clients across Illinois and throughout the United States. Telehealth makes it easy to access therapy from home while still receiving the same level of personalized care.

What is PSYPACT?

The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT®) is an interstate compact designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries. Only some Clinical Psychologists have the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT).

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that all cancellations or reschedules be made at least 24 hours in advance by phone, email, or through the HIPAA-compliant client portal to avoid a late cancellation fee. Please note that cancellation fees are not covered by the insurance companies.

Do you prescribe medication?

We do not prescribe medication. However, we do collaborate closely with Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Registered Nurse Practitioners, Internal Medicine doctors, Primary Care Physicians, Family Care Physicians, OB/GYN doctors, Pediatricians, Dieticians, Registered Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Functional Medicine Doctors, and other medical and health care providers in the area.  We can provide referrals to you when appropriate. This allows us to ensure that clients receive a comprehensive, coordinated, and multidisciplinary approach, individualizing clients care for both mental health therapy and medication support.
